Chemical Nanosensors Research Group
Achievements
- Solid state ion selective electrodes (for wearable sensor application, e.g. measuring the ion composition of sweat during sport activities; the electrodes can be applied also for measuring the concentration of ions (e.g., Ca, Na, K, Cl, pH) in body fluids (blood, urine, breath condensates)
- Selective solid state ion channels based on chemically modified nanopores (e.g., Ag and Cu measurements)
- Virus counters able to detect individual virus particles in liquids and as such to determine their concentration and concentration in calibration-free manner
- Molecularly imprinted polymers for selective protein recognition (a new class of robust synthetic affinity ligands, i.e. plastic antibodies that are able to replace antibodies in diagnostic applications and bioaassays)
- Nanopore-based sensing platform for calibration-free quantitation and sizing of nanoparticles in liquids
