The aim of the group is to carry out high-quality interdisciplinary theoretical and practical research, as well as to search for and develop applications that can be used in engineering and they build on both biomedical sciences. The results of medical informatics can be applied in an extremely wide field. The group addresses these diverse needs by involving BSc and MSc students. The Medical Informatics group carries out activities and research related to the following fields: • Modeling of physiological processes. Physiological regulations. . Computer modeling and simulation. Healthcare medical informatics. • Medical imaging methods. Image processing methods for healthcare applications. • Design, manufacture, installation and operation of biomedical equipment and instruments. Measurement of life processes, computer analysis of biomedical signals, biometrics. • Provision of instrumental and metrological background for biomedical research, experimental design. Development and operation of routine laboratory large-scale techniques, automated analyzers and robots. The Group has traditionally maintained good relations with prominent representatives and centers of excellence in both the medical and engineering professions. We cooperate with hospitals, companies and other universities and research institutes. We are open to both interested students and partners.
