Introduction of the Research Group
The Polymer composites research group of the Department of Polymer Engineering at BME is Hungary's leading research center on polymer composites, whose research profile covers the entire life cycle of polymer composites, from the development of new, innovative raw materials, through the design and finite element modeling of composite structures, advanced manufacturing technologies and comprehensive qualification, to their recycling. The group has developed new methods for non-destructive analysis of composites and has applied reinforcing materials as sensors to predict composite failure.
